What started off as an in-home lifestyle session ended in beautiful Morningside Park. It’s not often that I step outside to take photos of such small babies outdoors but in this case, it was a perfect decision. We did it partly because this baby boy was older then a newborn, but also because we wanted some photos in nature. I suggested Morningside because it was only two blocks away and we had to be quick to get the photos before nap time! I really enjoyed meeting this sweet family and can't wait to see Charlie at his next milestone session!
The true beauty of lifestyle baby photography is that there are really no boundaries of what the sessions should be like. There are no rules, set poses or perfect timing. Each family is different and so the end result is different as well. It’s unique as it should be because it portrays each family’s story in a real and honest way.
In this case, Charlie was just over three months old and able to do tummy time like a CHAMP. He was definitely interested in the camera, and his parents spoke about how he always notices whenever they try to take pictures of him. He was fully engaged in the camera (though a little skeptical of this new contraption).
Don’t ever feel like you are too late to capture your baby’s photos. There are no set rules. Babies are beautiful in every phase and the moments are too precious and fleeting to be missed.
