I met Tiffany in New York City when she and her family booked a Spring Mini Session among the gorgeous Central Park cherry blossoms. She emailed me again in December to inquire about an extended family session while she was in North Carolina for the Holidays. While I had never been to the Art Museum in Raleigh before, I have to admit it's now one of my favorite locations and I can't wait to visit again! Not only is it a top notch art museum for a family outing or date day, but there's a wonderful green space with rolling grass fields, walking paths, places for kids to ride scooters and picnic outdoors and amazing art sculptures! You'll see one of the art pieces featured in this gallery of the Lai family.

For extended family sessions, I always aim to capture candid moments between family members in addition to posed 'look at the camera' shots. This family was so lovely and allowed me to direct them in several locations as we chased that golden light in the grassy field. I think the art sculpture is really neat and made for some unique portraits.
